Framed Triptych Wall Art
Every once in a while, a design project comes along that's as satisfying as it is functional. For me, that was the day I set out to create a series of modern canvases that could double as wall art and a fun DIY project.
It all started with a trip to the craft store to pick up some blank canvases. My goal was to create a cohesive set that could be hung together or separately, depending on the mood and occasion. After priming the canvases and settling on a color palette, I got to work painting each one with care and precision.
But something was missing. When I hung the canvases up, they lacked the professional, polished look I was going for. That's when I made a trip to the hardware store and picked up some 1/4" poplar strips. After cutting them to the right length and painting them black, I started constructing custom frames for each canvas.
To add a little extra flair, I included a small design element that not only looked great, but also helped ensure proper hanging orientation. With the frames attached directly to the inset stretched canvas using nails, the finished pieces were finally ready to be hung up and admired.
The end result was a stunning set of modern canvases that added the perfect touch of style and personality to any space. It was a pleasure to take on a project that was as fun as it was functional, and I can't wait for the next one!
