Custom painted Nike Airmax 270’s - #2

After seeing my first customization of AirMax 270’s, I was commissioned to try my hand at another pair. This pair, however, presented a unique challenge as they had already been Hydro-Dipped, but the final product did not live up to expectations. The client, a die-hard LA Dodgers fan, was looking for a new and improved, subtle design to commemorate their recent World Series win.

I began the customization process by prepping the shoes for paint. The first step was a thorough wash, followed by an attempt to remove the previous dip. With the shoes cleaned and prepped, I then masked off the sole and bubble to protect them from paint. The entire shoe was then given a white base coat to provide a fresh canvas for the new design.

Next came the fun part - applying the custom design. I opted for a deep navy color for the body of the shoe, paying homage to the Dodgers' team colors. To add some extra flair, I incorporated a metallic silver to provide contrast and make the design pop.

After carefully applying the paint and allowing it to dry, the shoes were given a final clear coat to protect the design and ensure its longevity. The end result was a unique and personalized pair of AirMax 270's that perfectly captured the spirit of the LA Dodgers' World Series win. It was a pleasure to work on this project and see the client's excitement when they received their new kicks.
